Face Of The Day...

F.O.T.D

Seeing as I'm heading off out to the London Eye tonight with my ever so lovely boyfriend, I thought I'd take some extremely vain and posey (it's not a word but you get my drift) pictures of myself and do a face of the day post!

Benefit That Gal Primer
Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua (review very soon)
Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Smoothing Concealer
Revlon Photoready Eye Brightener
Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Bronzer
Estee Lauder Radiant Peach Blush

It's Oh So Natural To Me

Unfortunately for me, I am unable to pull off dark, dramatic, sexy eyes as I feel I somewhat resemble a drag queen! I long to have big eyes, not big googly fish eyes, but big eyes that can really take dark, dramatic eye shadow and liner. I tend to stick more natural, light coloured eye make up as I feel it complements my smaller than average eyes so I thought I'd share with you my favourite eye shadows for a natural eye.

NARS CREAM EYESHADOW EL DORADO

BENEFIT SILKY POWDER EYE SHADOW LOW PROFILE

CLINIQUE QUAD, LEFT TO RIGHT: PINK CHOCOLATE,  STRAWBERRY FUDGE, STONE VIOLET, CHOCOLATE CHIP
MAC SATIN FINISH EYE SHADOW VELOUR
N07 STAY PERFECT EYE SHADOW MINK
FRONT COVER EYE SHADOWS, LEFT TO RIGHT: MOTHER OF PEARL AND BISCUIT
I normally use the lighter and shimmer shadows all over my lid and then the darker, matte shadows in the outer third of my lid, crease and under the bottom lashes for a more smokey effect. I feel that the smokey effect with these types of colours is less harsh for my small eyes and can be worn in the day with a brown kohl in the water or a thin brown liquid liner right at the lashes for a night out. I really notice a difference in the appearance of my eyes when I wear the colours above, they seem to make my eyes appear bigger and bluer in colour which is exactly why I stick to the warmer, natural shadows. I would really recommend these shades for those of you with small eyes like me and for those of you with big eyes, I'm ever so jealous ha!

I'd like to just say apologies for the cheesy title and reference to an old S Club7 classic but it had to be done!
Hope you all enjoy the Diamond Jubilee and the extra days off work. I know I will!

I Break The Rules

Now I'm not one to follow every single so called "beauty rule" as I am a rebel!!!! The beauty rule I break the most is skipping the important parts of a skincare routine. Now it's not because I don't like using the products or don't see the benefits of using them as I really do, but it just comes down to practicality and mainly laziness.
I would love nothing more than to give my skin a good old efoliate, cleanse, tone and mositurise every single morning and night, but due to the fact that I love a good sleep and that I'm always rushing to get ready this just doesn't happen every single day. Sometimes if I'm really tired lazy I won't remove my make up at all and just sleep with make up on. I know its disgusting and really bad for my skin but we've all done it once or twice right?
I have three methods of cleansing and removing my make up and it starts with the laziest and ends with, lets face it, the best and most productive way :
♥ 1. Remove make up with a cleansing facial wipe (very lazy)
♥ 2. Apply a cream cleanser (which can be done in my bedroom) and remove with a cotton pad
♥ 3. Trek all the way across the landing to the bathroom and use Liz Earle's Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser

Now each of these methods removes my makeup fairly well, to be fair Liz Earle's cleanse and polish is definitley the best method as it leaves my skin feeling amazing after it but sometimes I'm just to damn lazy to make that 5 second walk to the bathroom.
Using toner is a step that I always seem to miss, I have Liz Earle's Instant Boost Skin Tonic and I really love the way my skin feels afte I have used it but I just seem to forget to do this. Moisturing is one part of a skincare routine that I will never ever miss, this is because I have very dry skin. The moisturiser I'm currently using is Clinique's Superdefense SPF 25 moisturiser. It works really well for my skin, it's non greasy and leaves my skin feeling beautifully soft. I know its an age defense moisturiser and I'm not worried about wrinkles right now but I got a sample a few moths back and loved it so much that I had to buy it again.

My skincare routine isn't very exciting, I tend to stick to these few products and just alternate them depending on my laziness. I'm not coming off too well in this post am I haha!! Hope you've all had a lovely week, the sun is shining today and I'm now going to enjoy some Pizza express with my bestie!! Adios ♥.

What's In My Make Up Bag?

I've seen this post on quite a few blogs and like a genuine sheep I've decided to do it too. I always find it interesting to see what people keep in their make up bags and also a little dangerous for my bank balance as I always end up seeing something that I want have to buy :). My make up bag consists of:

My Camera is so sucky, apologies once again haha
♥ Clinique Superbalanced make up: shade 3 Ivory
♥ 2true Smooth Matte Pressed Powder: shade 1
 ♥ BeneFit "That gal" Primer
♥ Estee Lauder Artists Eye Pencil: Soft Smudge Black
♥ Lancome L'extreme Mascara
♥ Maybelline Lasting Drama Gel Liner
♥ No7 Beautiful Brows pencil: shade 15 Blonde
♥ Rimmel Silky Loose Face Powder: Shade 001 Translucent
♥ BeneFit Bella Bamba Blush
♥ BeneFit Low Profile Silky Powder Eye Shadow
 ♥ Classic Carmex
♥ Clinique Viramin C Lip Smoothie: Strawberry Bliss

I normally have my make up brushes in there but I've taken them out to give them a well needed clean and also my concealer should be in there but it's in my make up drawer and I'm too lazy to get up and get it haha. My make up bag isn't as interesting as I'd hoped ...Maybe yours is more interesting than mine?
I'm going to venture out in the snow now..meh!! Have a lovely Sunday ♥
